Making Art @ Pride on the Promenade


I believe that art is healing and magical and a daily essential activity. So, of course, when I was asked to run an Art Booth for the City of Santa Monica, I was stoked to spend a Pride day afternoon helping others create rainbow art on hearts - ornaments, magnets, and coasters. I thought a heart was a fitting shape to encapsulate pride!

Creativity Flowed!


I was super impressed by everyone's paintings and creations! I had a few pages of different examples, but most everyone did their own design. That day, Downtown Santa Monica Pride was full of creativity and color!

Some did trans colors, some did the lesbian flag. We had a wide variety, which was so wonderful! I had a display of all the different Pride flags (so many that I didn't even know existed until I printed it out!). See the different meanings here: LGBTQ+ Pride Flags.
